Saraf Salim, MPH

Saraf Salim, MPH, serves as the Assistant Director of the Harvard University Area (HUA) IRB. In this role, she is responsible for leadership and oversight for review operations of the HUA IRB, including the management and supervision of IRB review staff. She provides outreach and support to the HUA research community through trainings and IRB initiatives.

Prior to joining the IRB, she was involved in both social and behavioral and biomedical research at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center (BMC) in the departments of Pharmacology and Pediatrics, respectively. She has been a Program Coordinator for StreetCred at BMC, a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Scholar/Intern at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Kennedy Krieger Institute in 2019, and is currently a member of Harvard Catalyst’s Social Behavioral and Educational Research subcommittee. She received her MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from Boston University School of Public Health and has a BA in Neurobiology from Boston University.
