Jonathan M. Girard serves as Manager of the Harvard University Area IRB. He manages the IRB Administrator staff and internal training operations. He also maintains the portfolio from researchers in the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Law School.
Jonathan spearheads external training and outreach efforts, providing in-class trainings for students and staff across all schools at the university. In this role, he leads an Undergraduate Research Training Program (URTP) to assist undergraduate researchers in the ethical conduct of thesis and course projects.
Prior to joining the Harvard University Area IRB in 2015, Jonathan worked at Boston Children’s Hospital, serving concurrently as a Research Coordinator within the Neuropsychology Program and as Psychometrician within the Clinical Research Center’s Behavior Core. Jonathan graduated from Boston University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
