Jonathan M. Girard serves as Senior IRB Administrator for the Harvard University Area IRB, working with faculty at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, as well as leading a team of IRB administrators that liaises with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Additionally, Jonathan spearheads training and outreach efforts, providing in-class trainings for students and staff across all schools at the university. In this role, he has developed and implemented an Undergraduate Research Training Program (URTP) to assist undergraduate researchers in the ethical conduct of thesis and course projects.
Prior to joining the Harvard University Area IRB in 2015, Jonathan worked at Boston Children’s Hospital, serving concurrently as a Research Coordinator within the Neuropsychology Program and as Psychometrician within the Clinical Research Center’s Behavior Core. Jonathan graduated from Boston University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
